2015 Prostate Cancer Centre Annual Report

Annual Theme: “Connections That Make for a Stronger Community”

Calgary’s Prostate Cancer Centre (PCC) is a non-profit, world-class medical centre with a mandate to prevent Alberta men from dying of prostate cancer, and to improve the quality of their lives and their families lives in the process. Annually, over 12,000 men and their families visit the Prostate Cancer Centre. The Centre pursues its mission by reaching out to individuals, corporations, and others to channel resources – both financial and human – to fight this deadly disease.

Community connections and collaborations has made Calgary’s Prostate Cancer Centre what it is today.  These valuable connections have allowed us to create programs and resources for men who visit the centre, including the Rapid Access Clinics and the Man Van.  We rely on the commitment of time and donations from those people and businesses in our community to continually carry out these programs and services for men. These connections show just how much the Prostate Cancer Centre has accomplished by working together with communities to help men in their fight against prostate cancer.  By connecting communities and leaders to the programs and services we offer, we can achieve and strive to help even more men in Calgary and southern Alberta.  Together, we can make for a stronger community.
